PageDNA is honored to have numerous Fortune 100 end-user corporate firms using our software every day for print procurement. One of our customers (a Print Distributor) was approached by such a firm looking for help streamlining a complex employee recognition program, serving its 150,000 employees. Like many firms worldwide - this company rewards employees upon hire-date milestones such as the 1, 3, 5 anniversaries - with the gifts increasing in value as the years of service go up. As the gifts increase in value, they also add complexity because - for example - some of the items are clothing and require the user to select their size when "ordering".
Automated FulfillmentViewed from a distance, this appeared to be a relatively simple "pick and pack" operation, but with 150,000 employees and data coming from all over the world, the project was using up the resources of two full-time employees at the Fortune 100 corporation - simply handling administrative tasks such as managing the considerable data related to the program, handling employees who had left the firm, and so forth. Beyond the time involved, numerous problems had been snagging the project when it was managed internally, ranging from bad or missing data, down to fulfillment issues with the previous vendor. In short, the internal contacts were pulling their hair out. They needed a vendor to handle the fulfillment but also to take on the considerable recurring data management behind the scenes on this project.
PageDNA - Your SWAT Team for Print e-CommercePageDNA engineers set to work to devise a solution to streamline this process. In the end, we developed a system to import data from worldwide sources. In the process, we were able to add further personalization and check points to the process. For example, we send out personalized emails and postcards to employees announcing their gift, but if an employee doesn't respond we send a reminder, which increased adoption significantly. Features we built to help manage this include the ability to:
The project was a huge success - measured by the fact that adoption was up, packages were delivered more efficiently and with fewer issues, and - perhaps most importantly - the two employees at this corporation who formerly had this as an albatross around their necks were freed up to work on other less administrative functions. Project ExpansionFollowing a pattern we are quite used to at PageDNA, the customer was pleased with the success of the project and asked if we could expand the site to allow manual recognition of employees. In other words, if one employee wished to give a "pat on the back" to another employee for good service, the Fortune 100 firm wanted us to develop a system to enable this. PageDNA rolled this out shortly after receiving the specifications, and this has been another success for this customer. We are quite certain that we will continue to field requests for new lines of business and projects for this - and other very large customers - and we look forward to the opportunity to help you. |
