A large franchise-based firm with over 200 housing communities in 26 states needed help managing their large and growing amount of printed collateral. Our customer (the Print Broker) had the formidible task of taking on several hundred SKUs at launch - including hundreds of variable imprint and custom bundled items.
Digital Asset ManagementOur customer immediately began setup a Profile site so as to store information for each of the housing communities in a Profile. PageDNA's software allowed facile organization of the digital assets related to each community - including maps, logos, points of interest graphics, and even floorplans. The ordering interface gives the requester the ability to pick one or more communities and have all of the digital assets automatically "flowed" into the printed product. For example, a postcard product includes and "auto balances" the maps and logos for the three housing communities onto the design.
Huge LaunchThe project launched and the end-user customer continued with its monstrous growth, which was paralleled with site activity. With over 5,000 housing starts in 125 different housing markets in the first year of this site's operation, the print order volume accelerated to match... as the PageDNA software kept up and running without a hitch, at 99.95% uptime as promised.
New AdditionsThen - as is not unusual - the customer had a question: Could the site handle ordering of newspaper advertising? The twist is that the output dimensions would need to vary slightly to handle different newspaper's publishing guidelines. PageDNA made this all possible, building dozens of templates to handle the various formats in which the company advertises. The software allows the requester to specify a variation in the ad's size whereupon the layout auto-balances the graphical elements and even changes the page size to match the request... all on the fly! A PDF is delivered to the manufacturer.
More AdditionsThe customer, pleased again, asked: how about ordering of custom billboard graphics. Why not? Once again... PageDNA took a process that would have been a production drudgery and turned it into a money machine for our customer. This story is sure to continue as our customer continues to grow and secure more and more lines of business. Please give us a call to discuss your project today. |
